Riot Introduces the Legendary Rank for League of Legends: Wild Rift
Riot announced a new ranked queue called Legendary Queue for Season 6. It will be a solo-only ranked system with points and new ranks.
In a recent developer’s diary for the League of Legends: Wild Rift, Riot Games announced a new ranked queue called the Legendary Queue for Season 6. It will be a solo-only ranked system with points and new ranks. It will also give players a chance to have a global ranking.
It will only be available to players who reached the diamond rank for the current season. It will be launched a few weeks after the start of Season 6 and will only be available at certain times of the day.
There will be six new ranks. The Legendary Ranks are as follows:
Warrior IV-I
Commander IV-I
Guardian IV-I
Vanquisher IV-I
Immortal IV-I
Legend
Once in the Legend tier, players will be given a special global ranking with other players across regions who reached the same rank. Additionally, there will be a separate Matchmaking Rating (MMR) in the Legendary Queue.
Riot also announced changes in the current ranked queue for solo/duo/trio by having ranked marks all the way to challenger instead of stopping at emerald rank. Once the diamond rank is reached, players will no longer gain or lose Victory Points (VP) but rather, players will gain a ranked mark per win and lose one per loss. Dates for the start of season 6 have yet to be announced.
