Headline: MPL-PH Regular Season Week 3 Recap
ONIC Philippines has catapulted their team to the top 1 of the rankings followed by Omega Esports, ECHO, Blacklist International, RSG Philippines, Bren Esports, Nexplay EVOS, and TNC Pro Team respectively into the 3rd week of MPL-Philippines.
The Mobile Legends: Bang Bang Professional League – Philippines (MPL-PH) Season 10 has just ended its 3rd week of its regular season and matches have only started to heat up more. In an unexpected turn of events, rookie-laden team ONIC Philippines has catapulted their team to the top 1 of the rankings followed by Omega Esports, ECHO, Blacklist International, RSG Philippines, Bren Esports, Nexplay EVOS, and TNC Pro Team respectively. Nobody expected ONIC to come out on top early in the season because of the major roster shuffle that happened from season 9 to season 10.
Week 3 Day 1
- Match 1: BLCK vs ONIC (0-2)
- ONIC put a halt to the win streak to the powerhouse team of Blacklist International. They surprised the world with a jaw-dropping backdoor play during game 1 care of Nets’ Bruno to set the momentum for game 2 as well to claim a well-deserved victory.
- Match 2: OMG vs NXPE (2-0)
- OMG showed that they want to win an MPL-PH season this time when they secured their third straight win of the season. The rookie, Mikko and OMG’s core, KielVJ were the key factors to OMG’s series win against NXPE.
Week 3 Day 2
- Match 1: RSG vs BREN (2-1)
- After a series of rough games, RSG, the defending champions and MSC 2022 champions felt that they were finally back to their old form. In a tough match against Bren Esports, RSG, led by Demonkite and Aqua, powered through Pheww’s squad to take the series win.
- Match 2: OMG vs ONIC (1-2)
- It was definitely an ONIC crunch time when the team had to come back from OMG’s game 1 victory. They proved that they did not fear the veterans of Omega. ONIC managed to defeat the comeback kings through the amazing performances of Super Frince and Sensui.
- Match 3: TNC vs ECHO (1-2)
- TNC finally won their first game but failed to win their first series. In game 1, TNC’s Kramm stunned ECHO with a sneaky segway but ECHO regrouped and took over games 2 and 3 completely through a major assist from Kurttzy’s Xavier.
Week 3 Day 3
- Match 1: NXPE vs RSG (0-2)
- Demonkite showed why he is one of the best Fanny users in the league while Light used his signature Franco to lead RSG into a 2-0 victory against NXPE.
- Match 2: ECHO vs BLCK (2-1)
- It was an ECHO loud, ECHO proud moment when the team in purple managed to takedown the behemoths of Blacklist International. It was a close match with the series tied at 1-1. ECHO team captain Yawi scored some clutch plays to claim the nail-biting game 3 against Blacklist.
The rookie Nets from ONIC Philippines took home the weekly MVP spot. The young gold laner was ONIC’s biggest threat against Blacklist International and Omega Esports for Week 3 with picks such as Bruno, Irithel, Claude, Wanwan, and Beatrix. His average kills were 5.80, average assists at 4.40, average deaths only at 1.40, and gold per minute at 755.
MPL-PH has been unpredictable lately which makes a lot of the audience excited to watch each match. Fans can catch the next week’s action of MPL-Philippines only at their social media channels.
